...moving compost and steer manure around the 10 fruit trees. Elijah missed most of the work while taking a nap, but Kaylee was busy running madly and being the lovable spaz that she is. She kept track of Papa and Daddy unless Papa was on the tractor and Daddy was using the tiller. She's not a fan of 'big noise'.
She was so into all the 'farmness' that she didn't notice she was dirty. Now you have to understand that she distinctly doesn't like being sticky, dirty, cold, wet, or otherwise uncomfortable. She was rather proud of her dirty feet and face. Not quite up to Amboy-dirty-summer-feet quite yet, but the summer is just beginning. Wait till I convince her to go in the dirt box. (some have sand boxes, we have a dirt box!) But the best part of the day was...
...watching Elijah eat ice cream for the first time. Being lactose intolerant can put a huge cramp in your ice cream consumption. But Papa can commiserate, so he made mixed berry goat/yogurt ice cream for the little monkey. He loved it!!
All in all it was a blessed work day...thank you all hands!
